Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
2. Professional registration preferred
3. Postgraduate qualification in business or supply chain is an advantage.
4. Proven experience in MRO/spare parts procurement or a closely related technical category within a manufacturing, engineering, or asset-intensive industry.
5. Strong track record of leading strategic procurement initiatives, fostering internal and external business relationships, and driving organizational change.
6. Solid understanding of technical specification management, strategic cost modelling, and vendor performance evaluation.
7. Previous exposure to international procurement projects is an advantage.
8. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with operations and technical development teams, interpret complex process information, and influence decision-making at multiple levels.
9. LTA for 3-5 years, position for level 7, demonstrates fluency in both written and spoken English, placement in Wisma Indah Kiat Indonesia
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead evaluation and optimization of MRO/spare parts categories to reduce TCO
2. Develop product testing and value analysis protocols to enhance cost-efficiency and revenue opportunities
3. Create fit-for-purpose specifications and support standardization across business units
4. Establish profit-enhancing models such as TCO benchmarks and performance indicators
5. Influence operational decision-making on category selection and implementation
6. Monitor compliance with sustainability and usage protocols
7. Conduct supplier assessments and approve based on technical, QA, and performance benchmarks
8. Drive supplier onboarding and integration with evaluation processes
9. Lead cost-reduction initiatives through contract negotiations and strategic partnerships
10. Align internal stakeholder and supplier processes to support procurement goals
11. Explore new technologies and market developments to identify value opportunities
12. Develop supplier performance metrics and manage category change initiatives
13. Build and maintain effective stakeholder and supplier relationships
14. Participate in strategic forums to share category intelligence across divisions
15. Support organization-wide leverage initiatives and best practice exchange
16. Facilitate collaboration among business units to optimize strategic sourcing
17. Share supplier market insights across functional boundaries
